FAQ

Where can you find us?

We’re tucked away at Dunwich Beach Car Park, IP17 3EN, in the opposite corner to the café. Head towards the sound of waves and the smell of woodsmoke – you’ll find us.

Where do I park?

You’ll find us in the Dunwich Beach car park itself – plenty of space to park up, breathe in that sea air, and get ready to unwind.

How many people fit in the sauna?

Our sauna comfortably fits up to 7 people – cosy, but still room to stretch out and relax.

When should I arrive?

We recommend turning up 10 minutes before your session starts. It gives us time to show you the ropes and gives you time to get changed (ideally, arrive in your swimwear if you can).

What should I bring?

  • Swimwear

  • Two towels – one to sit on, one to dry off

  • Water bottle – hydration is key

  • Flip flops or sliders

  • A robe (if you’ve got one)

  • Warm clothes for afterwards – the sea breeze is no joke

What if it rains?

We love a bit of wild weather – it’s all part of the magic. Rain, sea mist, even a moody grey sky… it all adds to the experience.

The only time we’ll reschedule is for strong winds (over 45mph), thunder or lightning. If the weather’s looking risky, we’ll be in touch with as much notice as we can.

Are there any facilities?

We like to keep things simple out here – it’s all part of the experience. Our sauna is nestled right by the sea, surrounded by fresh air, big skies, and the sound of waves. That means facilities are minimal, but that’s the beauty of it. Here’s what to know:

  • There are no changing rooms, so we recommend wearing your swimwear under your clothes

  • No lockers, so please leave any valuables tucked safely away in your car

  • Outside the sauna, you’ll find hooks for robes and towels

  • Public toilets are just by the café in the car park

  • We suggest removing jewellery at home, as it can get hot during your session

Who can use the sauna?

We want as many people as possible to enjoy the sauna – but there are a few safety things to keep in mind:

  • Use is at your own risk. If you’re pregnant, on medication, or have a medical condition, check in with your GP before booking

  • Children aged 7–16 can join private sessions only (i.e. you’ve booked the whole sauna), and must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times

  • Under 7s are not permitted
