​ The Suffolk Sauna - Terms of use

 

These Terms & Conditions are here to keep you, our staff, and our sauna safe. By booking or using The Suffolk Sauna, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these rules.

Important: All guests use the sauna, sea, or associated facilities entirely at their own risk.

1.  Group Booking Responsibility

​

• If you book on behalf of a group, you accept responsibility for ensuring that every member has read and complies with these Terms & Conditions.

• You must ensure all group members follow staff instructions and safety guidance.

• You are also responsible for ensuring that any under-16s in your booking have a signed parental/guardian waiver.

2. Health & Medical Conditions

​

If you have health concerns including but not limited to the following, consult your GP before booking.

​

• Are pregnant.

• Have high or low blood pressure.

• Have a heart condition, circulatory problems, or a history of stroke.

• Have epilepsy, asthma, or other respiratory conditions.

• Have diabetes or other health conditions affected by heat.

• Are prone to dizziness, fainting, or heat sensitivity.

If in doubt, always seek medical advice before booking.

3.  Age Restrictions

​

• No under-7s are permitted in the sauna.

• No under-16s are permitted in ice baths, plunge pools, connected with sauna use.

• Children aged 7–16 may only use the sauna during private hire sessions as long as an adult family member/guardian is present at ALL TIMES during the hire and use of the sauna

• When you book you must tick the box showing that you that have read and understood the Terms & Conditions and that you take full responsibility for your child/children during the Sauna hire use.​​​​

4.  Sauna Use & Safety Rules

​

For comfort and safety, all guests must:

​

• Sit on a towel.

• No nudity

• Limit sauna sessions to 5–20 minutes at a time.

• Remove all jewellery before entering.

• Avoid bringing glass, valuables, or contact lenses inside.

• Not touch the stove, chimney, fire door, or stones.

• Pour water onto the stones carefully, from the far side, to prevent scalding.

• Avoid lotions, oils, or personal products unless approved by staff.

• Not bring alcohol, drugs, or cigarettes into or near the sauna.

• Treat staff, fellow guests, and the sauna with respect.

5.  Slippery Surfaces & Cold Water Use

​

• Be aware that floors and surrounding areas may be slippery due to water or ice. Take care when moving around.

• Entering the sea or cold water is entirely at your own risk. You must be a confident swimmer and aware of local conditions.

• Under-16s are not permitted in plunge pools, or cold showers as part of sauna use.

6.  Personal Property

​

• All belongings are brought at your own risk. The Suffolk Sauna Ltd is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage.

7.  Behaviour & Inclusion

​

• We are committed to a respectful, welcoming environment.

• Discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

• Guests may be asked to leave without refund if behaviour is unsafe or disrespectful.

• The Suffolk Sauna reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any guest posing a health, safety, or behavioural risk. In these cases, no refund will be given.

8.  Dunwich Location Rules

​

We are grateful to operate on Dunwich Beach. Please respect this environment:

​

• Dispose of all litter responsibly.

• Keep noise to a minimum to protect the peace and nearby residents.

• Follow Dunwich Trust car park guidelines.

• Swimming in the sea is at your own risk and not covered by our insurance.

9. Liability & Exclusions

​

The Suffolk Sauna Ltd cannot be held liable for accidents, illness, injury, loss, or damage arising from:

​

• Failure to follow these Terms & Conditions, safety rules, or staff instructions.

• Use of the sauna under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication.

• Pre-existing health or medical conditions.

• Negligence or misconduct by customers.

• Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.

• Flood damage (excluded from our insurance cover).

10.  Agreement

​

By booking or entering The Suffolk Sauna, you confirm that you:

• Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.

• Accept responsibility for your own health, safety, and belongings.

• Accept responsibility for any under-16s in your care.

• Agree to follow all safety instructions given by Suffolk Sauna staff.

• Understand that sauna and sea use is entirely at your own risk.

• Acknowledge that the sauna remains the property of The Suffolk Sauna Ltd at all times and agree to use it only under staff supervision.
